Wildside Summer

The Summer So Far……

It’s been all go at ‘Wildside Towers’ this Summer. It seems a long time ago but back in the late Spring we took a group of 50 people from a top Danish company to Marrakech for a 4 day tour. The weather was hot and the sun was shining. From a wacky treasure hunt around the city in a fleet of horse and carriages to tackling the longest  zip wire (almost a quarter of a mile) in Africa; wilderness quad biking safari to VIP night club tours – this was a trip that had just about everything. So good in fact that we are taking the same group to South Africa in the Autumn.

In May, it was our regular trip to the Monaco Grand Prix and our boat moored in probably the best spot in the Harbour just three metres from the track at Tabac Corner.  With a superb 5 star hotel, chauffeured cars in and out of the circuit, VIP treatment at the GP and a fascinating race this was a perfect weekend away. One of the highlights was the private Wildside post race Party on a roof top terrace overlooking the circuit complete with super loud music system, DJ and free flowing drinks.

No sooner had we returned from Monaco than we were packing up for the Le Mans 24 Hours. With 75 people on the tour and a mix of cars that included Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, Mercedes, BMWs and even a Rover!  The traditional Wildside ‘secret’ back-road routes saw some great driving roads, no crowded motorways and no speeding tickets or police issues. 4 star hotel, late bar and casino visit made a great Friday kick-off. At the track: pre-set up tents for everyone, car parking in the private Wildside enclosure, carpeted marquees and unlimited beers and food served by the crew kept the crowd happy. It’s no surprise we have’ Le Manser’ regulars that have been coming with us for 16 years.

What else has been happening?  We have arranged for an F1 fan travelling all the way from Australia to do our F1 Driving Course on the Barcelona Grand Prix track; to actually drive Mark Webber’s F1 Jaguar – we really do like to go the extra mile.  Our new Mini Cooper Adventure event based around London is now up and running plus planning for a new European motorcycle run to the Alps in the Autumn .

It’s never too early to plan ahead and we already have 18 people booked for the Monaco GP ’14  plus a group that are heading out to Dubai/Sharjah for a desert bashing 4×4 and dune buggy raid in late April.

If you want to chat about anything to do with Wildside, our trips or events then just get in touch. Look forward to hearing from you.
