Le Mans 24 Hours Race 16-18 June 2017- our 22nd year at Le Mans!

Le Mans is much more than the greatest endurance race in the world. It has its own ambience and atmosphere and an electricity and excitement that you can almost touch. The bars and cafes in the village run throughout the night and the champagne bar has an inexhaustible supply of bubbly at incredibly good prices and every bottle nicely chilled!

But to really make the most of your Le Mans join the Wildside Group A Tour. This will be our 22nd time at Le Mans so travel with the experts. We offer a very personal service with an on-site crew and a group size of around 50 people. Every year we also have plenty of couples on the Le Mans Tour so don’t feel the event is just for blokes. We will get you right to the heart of the action and take care of everything. And we do mean everything. From return ferry crossings, backroad routes with a road-book for every car that takes in great roads avoiding all the traffic; pre-race hotel with indoor pool, your own pre-erected tent at our trackside HQ with parking for your car, all the ice cold beers, wine, soft drinks plus freshly cooked breakfasts, lunches and dinner all included and at no extra cost. Oh and we also have own exclusive coach to take you around the circuit at night so you can really appreciate the skills of the drivers who still have over 12 hours and 1500 miles to go until the finish!

The Wildside Base is open for the full 24 hours with a ready supply of beers and drinks plus snacks and hot and freshly cooked food on tap and at no extra cost.

Departing Dover early on Friday morning the driving route heads from Calais through the countryside and into the Suisse-Normand region arriving at our hotel in a small spa town north west of Le Mans. Our Le Mans event Director will be driving down with the group so you will have someone with you right from the start. We avoid the rush of British cars that are heading down the motorways to Le Mans. With Wildside there are no traffic jams at the toll booths, or crawling through grid locked Rouen. Our route is a stunning mix of open, sweeping, country roads – perfect driving conditions. A countryside lunch stop and rendezvous halts along the way add to the whole experience.

On the Friday night, a splendid dinner with wine gets the weekend off to a great start and perhaps a visit to the Casino and night club is in order. Our hotel overlooks the stunning setting of a lake in the middle of this small beautiful Normandy town. The hotel also offers a spa with indoor pool and a private car park that is barrier controlled.

After breakfast on Saturday morning, Le Mans is just 60 minutes away. Continuing the driving theme the Wildside Group A route takes you along more superb ‘B’ roads that are virtually traffic free so no queueing issues. After you park your car up at our Base HQ, move into your pre-erected tent and have an ice cold beer and some brunch. Located a very short walk from the Porsche Curves; the HQ is always manned by our helpful staff so your car will be perfectly safe. With marquees, tables and chairs a non-stop 14 hour supply of cold drinks and food that ranges from snacks, roast beef, smoked ham sandwiches, bacon rolls and prime cooked –to-order burgers, to a Tex-Mex chilli cook out with the trimmings and full English breakfast we will take care of you – and it’s all included in the price.

We also arrange grandstand and admission tickets and our exclusive night coach (just for the people on our Le Mans tour) takes you around the track with stop-offs at Arnage and Mulsanne. Breakfast with a choice of continental or British is on the go from early in the morning. The mid-afternoon race finish will leave you plenty of time to catch the evening return ferry but if (like most of the group) you want to stay over for another night we will book you into our spa town hotel.

Whatever you drive you will be welcome; In 2015 the cars on our tour included Porsche 918 hybrid (the first customer car delivered in the UK), 1966 Porsche 912, Fiat Barchetta, Mercedes estate, Lamborghini, Corvette, Mini Cooper S, TVR and plenty of 911s.
