There are over 100 London locations that reference a country (i.e. streets, roads, buildings etc.,) and the objective of the challenge is to visit as many of the locations as possible in the given time periods. Each location has been given a points value (scored in miles). The winning team is the one that has accumulated the most miles at the end of the Challenge.
From Jamaica to Bombay; Greenland to The Congo…The world truly is your oyster (well almost) and all without actually leaving London. Forget Phileas Fogg and his 80 days – You can get around the world in just 8 hours in this full-on, full day version where you become the famous Phileas. Speed your way around the London streets, outwitting the other teams, gambling on your route and all the time chasing the clock…
You will need plenty of cunning, clever tactics and team skills to come up with a crafty scheme that will get you round London in record time to outdo the competition. The more places you manage to visit; the more ‘Phileas pounds’ you earn.
Time is always running out so combining the talents of your team you will need to be prepared to change your tactics, alter your ideas and devise a new plan. There are decisions to be made and the clock is always ticking. Make the wrong choice and your team could be at the back of the field; make the right choice and you could be a hero.
Devilishly tricky challenges will be posed throughout the day. Complete the tasks when heading through ‘Passport Control’ and you will boost your chances, but you always risk heavy losses and Travel Fines if you fall behind.
The team that accumulates the most ‘Phileas pounds’ will win – it’s that simple.
