The action kicks off with a kart racing GP at a superb newly built indoor circuit on the edge of the capital city. The karts are fast, the track is challenging and the competition is intense. The adventure continues in Glacier country where you will get the chance to   drive a Super Jeep.  These are specially equipped 4×4 vehicles that have been fitted with 44 inch extra large and wide Glacier tyres. These make it possible for the Jeeps to travel in heavy snow and to reach parts of the glaciers that ordinary 4x4s couldn’t hope to achieve. The vehicles are also fitted with GPS navigational gear so they can be driven all over the interior of the country in zero visibility.

The Jeeps are serious fun but Snowmobiling is even better and the fact that you will have a full day on these awesome machines on the Icelandic Glaciers makes it perfect! These 600 cc machines are capable of over 80 mph – incredible enough but you are doing it on ice and snow. If you have never driven one of these machines before you will be amazed with the acceleration but remember braking on ice can be interesting!

But for sheer excitement add on an incredible passenger ride in a 1000bhp drag racing 4×4 which charges up the side of a quarry for a white knuckle experience.

MIAMI 

Wildside took a corporate group across the pond to the East Coast of the USA for 4 full-on days in March.

We checked out Little Havana, cruised along the famous South Beach and indulged in the dusk till dawn nightclub scene.  On arrival at Miami International we took chauffeur transfers in stretched limos to the hotel in Miami. In the evening the renowned Miami nightlife awaited us. Day Two and we were off due south in our fleet of convertible Mustangs toward Key West.

We drove along the Atlantic coastline stopping off at Lake Crocodile in Key Largo before reaching the islands of the ‘Lower Keys’ and Key West where we spent the night. That afternoon we took some jet skis and indulged in  a 28 mile 2 hour high speed thrash along the coast of the ‘Keys’ before hitting the bars and lounges of Duval Street in the evening. The next morning in our fleet of Mustangs with the tops down we headed back north through the islands before heading east into the Everglades arriving at our hotel in Marco Island on the Gulf Coast. Miles of golden beaches plus bars and restaurants make it a perfect stop-off. Day four and the drive back towards Miami included an air-boat tour through this fascinating region. Reaching Miami in the early afternoon we partook in a little ‘boat racing’ with two 20 foot powerboats on hand as we headed  out onto the sea for a blast (and a swim).

You can chose to stay in a fine 5 star hotel or a privately owned Riad (villa) in the centre of the city or even stay in a Kasbah (small fort) on the outskirts. If you really want something unique why not a private and luxurious Kasbah high in the beautiful Atlas mountains overlooking Marrakech.

The city also has a European feel to its nightlife with clubs and lounges plus some great restaurants and all with the quite perfect climate of endless sunshine. This is Africa and Arabia with a hint of Europe – enjoy.

Although it has been 300 years since the battles of the Highlands we will bring back those days (although fights to the death will not be featured) as the group will be divided into clans for a battle of wits, skill and strategy. You will spend one night in Edinburgh at a stylish hotel in the city centre and taking part in a clan based Monopoly Challenge which will take in many of the city’s famous sights plus an evening dinner in a haunted dungeon plus a ghost & ghouls walking tour of the hidden city (complete with actors and a touch of comedy along the way).

After the capital you will be transferred north for an hour to the foothills of the Highlands and your hotel – an historic residence originally built by the 7th Duke of Atholl as a summer home for his wife. The on-land action continues with the Clans competing in 4×4 driving over the moors, Quad Biking against the clock and Blindfold Jeep Driving.  To keep the competitiveness going we will also stage a Highland Games (with a humorous twist) with the clans competing in: Tossing the Caber, Hurling the Sack, Blind Sheep Herding; The Highland Fling and of course the Tug of War.   From the land it’s to the water….

Scotland boasts the finest rafting rivers in the United Kingdom. Your six mile course begins with the river being quite calm and some fantastic remote scenery. This gives the crews (one clan per raft) the chance to practice their new found rafting skills before the river quickly drops away and down through the fast charging rapids with like ‘The Zoom Flume’ and ‘Washing Machine’ will keep the rafters wide awake. Oh and let’s not forget the tour to Scotland’s smallest whiskey distillery, a clan dinner, a Ceilidh and Highland banquet.  This is much more than just a taste of Scotland – it’s a feast!

Issued with your Italian Job packs; it’s off along the cobbled and ancient Appian Way. In a few minutes you are out into the countryside and rolling along the rural roads. The route takes in the small villages of this delightfully scenic part of the Roman Lazio region. Up hills, along valleys and around lakes with stops at checkpoints along the way to complete team and individual challenges.

Lunch is taken at a local restaurant overlooking one of the volcanic lakes before the Italian Job continues towards the famous wine growing Frascati region. The event ends at vineyards for a wine tasting competition and dinner plus the announcement of the winners. A transfer takes the group back to Rome and the overnight hotel.

Undulating passes, scenic lakeside roads, rolling hills and all first class treatment throughout with splendid accommodation, excellent dining and of course hundreds of kilometres behind the wheel of a classic Alfa. Arriving at the airport, you will be transferred to the rendezvous point at the Alfa Collection (where there are up to 20 Alfa Spyders available!) to pick up the cars. After a quick briefing you will be off in a convoy run through the scenic Tuscany hills.

Each car will have a route and maps but you will be following a lead Alfa driven by a local enthusiast so all the best roads will already have been picked. There will be stops along the way for you to swap over cars, enjoy an espresso or two and a late lunch before arriving at our overnight stop. Depending on your preference this can be at an hotel or (our choice) this will be at a classic Italian Farmhouse Villa – part of the superb Agriturismo group. Deep in the Tuscany countryside, all the rooms have en suites and there is a swimming pool in the grounds to relax after the drive. Dinner is cooked by the patron using local ingredients and the wine will come from a vineyard just a few kilometres away. The evening is free to wind down or take the Alfa out for a spot of night-time driving – the choice is yours. After breakfast the route continues to wind through the beautiful scenery with more stops before arriving at our second Farmhouse Villa. Tonight you will be able to help cook the dinner under the watchful eye of the Patron who will give a wine tasting and cooking demonstration. Just like the previous night you will be well and truly satisfied with the wonderful food. For the final day the beautiful roads continue and after arriving back at the Alfa Collection HQ a transfer will take you into the centre of the city where you can enjoy the sights before heading to the airport.
